Arlo is an executive search consultant focusing on senior-level searches for financial services companies in Japan. His main focus is front office positions with investment banks and asset management companies. Originally starting his career in recruiting at a boutique executive search firm in 2006, Arlo has successfully concluded 100s of senior-level searches within the financial services industry. Before co-founding the Evander Group, Arlo was heading up the financial services, accounting and human resources teams at a global recruitment firm, which he joined in 2008.

Arlo is half Japanese and half American. He is fully bilingual/bicultural in both English and Japanese, having been raised in Tokyo and graduated from the American School in Japan. After graduating high school in Japan, he received a BS in Business from the University of Redlands in California.

Steve has worked in the executive recruitment industry since 2003. During this time he has exclusively been involved in the search industry, focusing mainly on the Digital, Media, Entertainment & Consumer Electronics industries. Steven has successfully placed numerous key directors, executives and country managers into a wide range of Fortune 500 companies.

Steve has a proven track record supporting business enter the Japan market and placing some of the most niche and historically difficult positions to hire across the region – using his extensive network and deep knowledge of his industries.

Prior to recruiting he spent a number of years in marketing for a major US online retail company in London.

Originally from Liverpool,England – Steven has graduated with a law degree from John Moores University in the UK.

Eric started his executive search career in 2006. He has completed numerous mid to senior level front office and compliance assignments for global investment banks and investment managers. He was consistently one of the top contributors in his previous companies and joined Evander Group in Feb 2016.

Born in Hong Kong and immigrated to England, Eric is multilingual and proficient in English, Japanese, Cantonese Chinese and Mandarin Chinese. He graduated from London Guildhall University, now known as London Metropolitan University, in 2004.

In his spare time, Eric enjoys practicing martial arts and is an avid competitor.

Hiro(kuni) started his executive search career in 2004 and has been focusing on senior level roles in the insurance sector. Hiro’s specializes in actuary, underwriting & claims related senior level positions. Prior to his recruitment experience, Hiro was working in the insurance industry for over 15 years in various sales and human resources management positions. Due to his depth of experience in both the recruitment and client side – Hiro has a strong understanding of his clients’ product offering and their unique business structures. Hiro understands his clients’ needs in detail, and can provide tailormade executive recruitment solutions according to their staffing challenges.

Hiro is originally from Kawasaki, Japan and is a graduate of Musashi Institute Technology. In his spare time he enjoys playing the piano and listening to classical music.

Gerald started his recruitment career in Japan in 2000 and has placed numerous executives in various multinational and Japanese companies. He is currently a Director at Evander Group and primarily focuses on senior accounting and finance positions, as well as human resource searches. Gerald has also been recognized as one of Asia’s top recruiters and has won several awards, including Top Consultant of the Year at a global search firm. Prior to working at Evander Group, Gerald worked at two Tokyo based boutique recruitment firms and a global recruitment firm – where he was the Accounting/HR team leader overseeing 6 staff members.

Before coming to Japan, Gerald worked as an auditor for a public accounting firm for 2 years and spent 7 years in risk management for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Gerald is originally from Vancouver, Canada and graduated from the University of British Columbia.

Manami is an executive search consultant focusing on mid to senior level searches, for both global and domestic financial service companies operating in Japan since 2014. Her main focus is in middle and back office positions for investment banks and Asset Management companies.

Manami provides only targeted, top candidates that are the best fit for her clients, while simultaneously always providing candidates her undivided attention to help them reach their career goals.

Manami is from Yokohama, Japan and is a graduate of Tokai University.

Tomihisa is an executive search consultant focusing on mid to senior level searches within the Entertainment/Media, Digital, and Consumer Goods/Retail industries since 2015. Tomihisa comes from the Entertainment industry, where he pursued his career in content acquisition/licensing at a Japanese film distribution company.

Tomihisa has been involved in various large scale recruitment projects with companies from major players in the entertainment industry to global start-ups entering Japan.

Tomihisa was born in Sendai, Japan, and spent 3 years in his childhood living in the United States. He has a BA in Business Management from Earlham College in Indiana, USA.

Takuya is an executive search consultant focusing on mid to senior level searches for insurance companies operating in Japan since 2015. He specializes in Sales, Operations, Actuarial roles and other positions within insurance and consulting companies.

Takuya is one Evander Group’s rising stars, and consistently building his track-record and name in the market, quickly becoming the go to recruiter for insurance searches for domestic and multi-national clients.

Takuya is originally from Yokohama, Japan and has travelled to over 50 countries – which he obtained his global perspective and business fluency in English.

Nao is an executive search consultant focusing on the insurance sector.
He specializes in junior to mid-level searches in both the Life and Non-life space.  Nao covers mainly actuaries, auditors and a broad range of IT related positions.

Before becoming a consultant, Nao was Evander Groups head of research and through this experience has a deep understanding of the Japanese insurance market.

Nao is originally from Fukuoka where he was born and raised.
